In 'The Last of the Uncolonized Lands' series, I use fantastical images of a woman, in a pleasure-garden like setting. Elements of female archetypes such as the veil, the white gown and the reclining form are all woven into the visual narrative.
My imagery often has elements of the human (female) form intertwined with that of nature. Nature/landscape is seen and a metaphor for the body (and vice-versa) and as a site for germination, nourishment, degradation, trespass, plunder, colonization and transgression.
